Zoo agrees to buy North County land for $7.1 million
The Saint Louis Zoo Association, the institution’s not-for-profit partner, has agreed to purchase the United Association of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 562’s property in north St. Louis County for $7.1 million.
The 425-acre complex was bought with private donations from at least two individuals, said officials with the association, a separately incorporated 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that works with the zoo to provide leadership for fundraising.
